My engineering physics class took on the project of making a nitrogen laser one semester. Jim Smyth (background), and Fred Heil (foreground) are two of the students involved. Others are scurrying about in the back. The laser in operation was a little scarry to witness.
In the future I will place chapters on this laser from my text book on the web. Check back in the autumn of 1999, maybe.
